Thanks
to Mike Varney for recognizing my Talent and giving me a chance
Born in Vienna-Austria, Gunter was introduced to music at a very young age
by his father who was an Opera Singer. When he was 6 years old he landed a
role in the opera, “Tosca” which gave him the desire to pursue music more
seriously. Beginning his musical training as a pianist, while still in grade
school, Gunter switched to bass at age 16 in order to form a band with a
friend.
An exhaustive search for the right musicians and lots of rehearsals, readied
his first professional band, “Imagine” for the stage. Within a
short time
“Imagine” had grown to a well known band in and around Vienna-Austria.
Although the band recorded a 45 which was well received by local radio
stations, it did not provide them with enough of a push to hold the band
together.
A series of professional opportunities followed, among them the opportunity
to play with Gunter Dzikowsky (Keyboard Player for Wolfgang Ambros),
in addition to numerous sessions at different Recording Studios across Austria
and Germany. Yugoslavian rockn' roll band “The
Cadillac” enlisted Gunter to
perform with them and the group had a #1 hit song entitled "Walk away Walk away"
which brought further popularity to the group, especially in Germany.
In 1990 Gunter moved to the United States and lives in Las Vegas.
